What is Trichology?
Trichology is the science of our hair and scalp.
A trichologist is a specialist who seeks to improve and assist patients with a multitude of hair loss and scalp-related problems including pattern thinning, alopecia areata, frontal fibrosing alopecia, psoriasis and many more.

You do not require a referral to book a trichology consultation.

Meet the Trichologist, Shara
About
Hi! I’m Shara Thredgold, a certified and practising member of the International Association of Trichologists (IAT). I live and breathe all things scalp and hair health related!
I completed my trichology certification with IAT, as they offer the only university-designed study pathway in the field.
IAT’s practising members are kept up to date with all the latest treatment pathways, current studies, and must adhere to a strict code of ethics.
Having worked in the hair industry for 11 years, I learnt quickly that without a healthy scalp, the hair would not behave and look the way my clients desired. I quickly adapted to an ethos of delivering amazing hair results with a holistic approach that prioritises the health and condition of my clients’ hair and scalp.
Holistic:
The belief that parts of something are interconnected and can only be explained by reference to the whole.
